#Asheville

Blue Ridge views, breweries, and the Biltmore.  Asheville is a small town with a huge reputation that draws outdoor enthusiasts and beer connoisseurs from all over the world.  I visited the western North Carolina town and dove head first into the art, food, and culture that Asheville had to offer.  Here are my favorite moments.

1.  Murals, of course.

Asheville is known as being an artsy town, and boy did they deliver.  I was like a kid in a candy store exploring all of the fabulous murals and urban canvasses.

2.  Blue Ridge Mountains.

I have a deep appreciate for the Blue Ridge Mountains.  It was beautiful to see the North Carolina section of this majestic mountain chain.  I went to the SkyBar World Coffee Cafe to watch the sunset.

3.  The River Arts District (RAD).

The River Arts District is an awesome section of town along the river to watch artists at work.  It also features fun coffee shops and graffiti gems.

4.  The Urban Trail.

The Urban Trail features a history lesson while trekking through downtown Asheville.  You can read various plaques, seek statues, and visit historical monuments to learn about the eclectic town.

5.  Downtown shopping.

Statue to commemorate shopping in Asheville.
There are so many tasty restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques to explore in downtown Asheville.  Some of my favorites were:  Twisted Crepes, Early Girl Eatery, and Sonora Cocina Mexicana.

6.  The Biltmore Estate and Gardens.

The Biltmore is a destination all on its own.  The luxurious estate also features beautiful gardens, a walking trail, hotel, vineyard, restaurants, and more.  It was fun to take a trip back in time and learn about the Vanderbilt family through touring the home.  The views weren't too shabby either!
